With the right choice of string, up to 20% more power can be transferred to the arrow. The Shrew Whisper String was developed jointly by Ron LaClair and Henry Bodnik to ensure that the stored energy of the high-performance Bodnik Bows and Shrew Bows is successfully transferred to the arrow. Arrow speed and penetration are two key attributes that are increased by our Shrew Whisper String.

Our high-performance string is a hybrid string made of three different materials. This special combination of materials also results in its whisper-quiet release sound. The Whisper String lives up to its name and is extremely quiet even without string silencers.

The Shrew Whisper String for recurves is 3″ shorter than the bow length, complying with the ATA standard. The top string loop has a larger circumference to perfectly fit the wider limbs of a recurve bow. This allows the string to be effortlessly slid over the limbs when unstringing the bow.
