Bodnik Bows stands for traditional archery: longbows and recurves, developed by archers, built by hand. Founded by Henry Bodnik — with the aspiration to build bows that we want to shoot ourselves.
How Bodnik Bows came to be
Instinctive archery has always been my great passion. It was clear to me early on that I would always be a traditional archer — and that my bows would be longbows and recurves.
My heart beats for traditional archery.
Traditional, instinctive shooting with longbows and recurves continues to define my archery to this day. It has deepened my connection to nature and led me on many adventures.
For more than 20 years, I have been passing on my knowledge of instinctive archery to archers all over the world — in courses that I developed myself.
In these courses, I learned what instinctive archers really need. And I discovered that many of the longbows and recurves on the market did not meet these requirements.
So, I began to develop my own longbows and recurves: bows that are harmonious and beautiful, built from durable materials, with high-performance limbs for instinctive shooting.
At the turn of the millennium, this idea became reality: Bodnik Bows.
