The Shrew Whisper String was developed jointly by Ron LaClair and Henry Bodnik to ensure that the stored energy of the high-performance Bodnik Bows and Shrew Bows is transferred to the arrow. Arrow speed and penetration are two important properties that are enhanced by our Shrew Whisper String.

Our high-performance string is a hybrid string made from three different materials. This special combination of materials also results in its whisper-quiet shot noise. The Whisper String lives up to its name and is extremely quiet even without string silencers.

The Shrew Whisper String for recurves is 3″ shorter than the bow length, thus complying with the ATA standard. The upper string loop has a larger circumference to perfectly fit the wider limbs of a recurve. This allows the string to be effortlessly slid over the limbs when unstringing the bow.

The three key advantages of the Shrew Whisper String

Maximum effectiveness and arrow speed

Increases performance and speed

Whisper quiet – no hand shock

Gentle on the bow

Technical Data

Bow lengths: 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64, and 66"

String length: Bow length – 3″

Sizes: – 50 lbs (8 strands), 50 lbs + (10 strands)

Quality: 100% handmade

We unconditionally recommend our Shrew Whisper String for our Bodnik Bows and all traditional bows that can be shot with a high-energy string.

All Bodnik Bows are built according to the ATA standard (string length = bow length - 3″)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0702/7739/8829/products/Shrew_Whisper_String_Recurve_9b72d7d8-c323-47b3-9b00-c721c28eeea2.jpg?v=1676889493
